Come Together To Comfort Children In Crisis With CSPD BAG Of JOY

7 Eleven in Partnership with Toys for Tots, Christmas Unlimited and the CSPD Cadets will be Bagging over 500 Stuffed Animals to be utilized in every Colorado Springs Police Department patrol car for responding officers to give to children in crisis situations to help ease the child’s trauma during difficult conditions.
Russ Miller area coordinator for Toys For Tots that will be providing the Stuffed Animals and Mike Tapia Executive Director of Christmas Unlimited that will host the event said that they are honoured that Richard came to them with such a great way to ease the trauma for children in crises situations. 7 Eleven will be supporting a school supply drive in July 2019 in support of Christmas Unlimited “Stuff The Bus” program and a Toys For Tots Toy Drive in November 2019 in support of local families in need. Both have
pledged their continued support of the program and plan replenishing supplies to CSPD as needed once all 500 bags are completed by the CSPD Cadets they will compete in a Gingerbread House Building
contest with prizes given for the Top 3 Gingerbread houses as well as the ugliest one. CSPD Officers wil judge the gingerbread house building contest and be on site as well as the event coordinators for media interviews. Refreshments will be provided by Swire Coca-Cola.
